The Best Cleaning Schedule for Busy DFW Families

The biggest reason homes get out of control isn't laziness — it's schedule mismatch. You're cleaning weekly what should be cleaned daily, and quarterly what should be cleaned weekly. Fix the rhythm and the home stays clean with far less effort.

Daily (10–15 minutes): dishes into the dishwasher, kitchen counters wiped, a quick sweep in high-traffic zones, trash out if full, one load of laundry. This is the foundation — skip it and nothing else works.

Weekly (60–90 minutes if you do it yourself): bathrooms, vacuum all carpets, mop hard floors, dust reachable surfaces, change bedding, take out all trash. Most families split this across two evenings.

Biweekly (professional): full whole-house clean. This is where most Ultra Cleaning clients land — kitchens, bathrooms, dust, vacuum, mop, and detail work on rotation. It's the best cost-to-value ratio for a busy family.

Monthly: rotate one 'zone' per week — one week the fridge interior, one week the pantry, one week the laundry room, one week the entry closet. Prevents the quarterly panic clean.

Quarterly (professional): full deep clean — baseboards, vents, inside appliances, grout, blinds, cabinet fronts, light fixtures. Book it before hosting any holiday.
